Where Are We?

While going between Food Lion and the Harris Teeter shopping center yesterday we had to stop at the intersection of Harrison and Maynard. Lily made a note that the bus went down the hill when they went on their field trip.

This doesn't make a ton of sense unless you know the area, so let me try to explain. Normally, Lily's bus picks her up, goes through our neighborhood, and then goes up Harrison to get to her school. However, for the field trip the bus went the other way as they went on the highway to get to the field trip on Friday. Lily noticed that and wanted to make a comment about it.

In other words, she still likes to know where she is. It's comforting when she goes for a ride with a grandparent to the grocery store that Lily can help them find their way home if necessary.
