It was an absolutely beautiful day yesterday. Lily and Ruby played all day. Amanda would have taken her home sooner, but we forgot to transfer the booster seat to the van. I took the girls home as soon as I got back from work and then we had a nice dinner. I put Noah to bed and took Lily to Sam's Club in preparation for Easter.
We were surprised when we got home to find Amanda with a bucket of water. We washed each other's feet, which was nice. What was really nice was that Lily understood the reference. She really got into the whole thing. We may wait a couple of years to get Noah into this. Right now he would just splash and make a mess.
Our church is having two Good Friday services today, but they can't offer childcare. That's fair considering how much work it is to have childcare. Unfortunately, that also means that we are not likely to go, at least not as a family. It doesn't make sense to attend a somber, contemplative service when you have a wiggly 21 month-old. Since there are services at noon and 6:00 PM we may split up for them though.
